The story of Rosehill Palms starts with our dad, Robert Rodriguez, who paved the way for us. Coming from a line of fruit growers, we were raised working on our family citrus farms and growing watermelons. Our dad encouraged our love for agriculture, hard work, and entrepreneurial spirit throughout our childhood.
Our dad used to run 18-wheelers full of produce into Houston from our hometown in South Texas, supplying stores and our own little mercado in Downtown with fresh produce. Our customers were like family to us, so we would help them with whatever we could. We began dabbling in landscaping with side projects involving citrus trees for our customers.

Through a coincidental conversation with someone from the community, we found a promising opportunity in Rosehill.
Recognizing a gap in the market for quality produce, we rented an open corner and set up a humble fruit stand.
While the initial days were slow, word-of-mouth gradually drew in more customers, and soon, we had people stopping by day after day on their way home from work.
Our early success created a difficult situation with our landlord, who drastically increased our rent after six months.
We made the bold decision to go big, or go home. Investing in a permanent location just a mile down the road, we transformed the space, installing refrigeration and expanding our offerings.
We started an annual pumpkin patch and different kinds of plants. With our mom behind the register and our dad engaging with customers, we created a new community for our family.

As our business continued to thrive, we diversified our offerings, with more trees, plants, and firewood, further solidifying our presence in the local landscape.
The success of our landscaping projects led us to pivot towards this aspect of our business, while still maintaining our commitment to providing quality produce and fostering community connections.
We became the local palm tree experts with our years of experience growing palms back in South Texas.
As our business began to outgrow our existing land, we seized the opportunity to move, allowing us to increase our inventory and offerings. The Rosehill Palms Nursery & Garden Center that you know today is the culmination of hard work, dedication, community, and most of all family.
We are grateful for the support of our customers and neighbors who have helped us grow from humble beginnings to where we are today. As we continue to evolve and expand, we remain committed to our core values, ensuring that Rosehill Palms remains a trusted and cherished place in the community.
